Usually when a fan interrupts a sporting event by crashing the field, it’s considered an annoying distraction.

But not when the fan is this adorable.

In Argentina, a match between San Lorenzo and Arsenal de Sarandi suddenly came to a halt thanks to an unexpected guest:

This little dog, who just couldn’t resist the sight of a ball.

He didn’t mean to interrupt the game, of course — he just wants to play. In fact, he shows off some seriously sweet ball dribbling skills out there.

But instead of signing him, the players (perhaps out of jealousy?) decide to get him off the field.

The dog resists capture, so they decide to play catch and chuck the ball off the field. The dog, of course, follows it:

And keeps on playing:

When another player grabs the ball to continue play, he assumes he’s in for another game of catch…

But instead, his short career in the professional league is over, as he’s reined in by stadium employees:

But his moment in the spotlight wasn’t over.

Like so many retired former pros, this dog decided to venture into a new career in broadcasting. He gave an illuminating post-game interview, where he promptly tried to eat the interviewer’s microphone.
