Remember when making your relationship status as a couple “official” meant two people saying something along the lines of “Hey, want to be my boyfriend/girlfriend?”

It seems like those days are over. As we’ve seen with marriage proposals and promposals, asking someone to be your boyfriend or girlfriend requires a lot more pizzazz.

For example, take this teen, Richard Rangel. He went above and beyond when it came to asking “my boo to be my girl.”

Richard spent 21 days writing love letters to his now-girlfriend, Priscilla.

For three weeks, Richard wrote love letters to Priscilla, whom he met through a mutual friend about six months earlier. He compiled all of the letters into a binder that was decorated with pictures of the two of them.

And as if that wasn’t cute enough, one the bottom of each note, Richard drew a large letter. If the notes were not arranged in order they made no sense, but arranged correctly, they spelled out something so cute.

“Will you be my girlfriend?”

Thankfully Priscilla said yes, or else it would have made for a really awkward moment. Although how could anyone say no to something so cute?

Richard even recorded Priscilla’s reaction to his love letters.

What a cute couple!

We can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve for a promposal!
